Microneedle Solutions (MNS) is a UK-based biotechnology company developing the Miracus™ microneedle patch platform for the painless, self-administered delivery of vaccines and therapeutics. Founded in 2022 as a spin-out from the University of Leeds, the company aims to democratize healthcare by eliminating the need for cold-chain logistics and trained clinical staff, particularly in resource-limited settings. The Miracus™ technology utilizes dissolvable or coated microneedles that are thermally stable and compatible with various modalities, including mRNA vaccines, protein antigens, and small molecules. MNS is currently progressing its lead vaccine program toward first-in-human clinical trials in collaboration with the NHS. The company is headquartered at the Nexus innovation hub in Leeds and has secured funding from investors including Cambridge Angels and SFC Capital.
