Midori Animal Health

Midori Animal Health, legally Midori USA, Inc., was a private animal-health biotechnology company developing glycan-based eubiotic products to modulate the gut microbiome of food and companion animals. Its platform focused on identifying glycans derived from natural food sugars that could improve gut health, nutrient utilization, feed efficiency, and animal welfare while reducing reliance on antibiotics. The company targeted applications across poultry, monogastric, ruminant, aquaculture, and companion animal markets. In July 2021, DSM acquired Midori, integrating its precision glycan technology into DSM’s animal nutrition and health business. Midori’s technology contributed to products such as Symphiome, aimed at poultry gut health and sustainability.
