MiDROPS

EyeCRO is a specialized ophthalmic contract research organization (CRO) and biotechnology company that developed the proprietary MiDROPS (Microemulsion Drug Ocular Penetration System) platform. The MiDROPS technology utilizes self-assembling, single-phase microemulsions to formulate lipophilic and insoluble drugs into topical eye drops, enabling delivery to both the anterior and posterior segments of the eye. This platform addresses the challenges of traditional ophthalmic delivery, such as poor solubility and the need for invasive injections. EyeCRO partners with pharmaceutical and biotech companies to develop novel treatments for conditions like dry eye disease, glaucoma, and diabetic retinopathy. The company's lead partnered program, TL-925, is a topical BTK inhibitor that recently completed a successful Phase 2 clinical trial for dry eye disease.
