Midwest BioResearch (MBR) was a specialized contract research organization (CRO) providing bioanalytical and drug development services to the biopharmaceutical industry. Based in Skokie, Illinois, the company focused on large molecule bioanalysis, offering expertise in pharmacokinetic (PK) and toxicokinetic (TK) studies, immunogenicity testing, and cell-based assays. Operating out of a GLP-compliant facility, MBR supported clients through all phases of drug development, from preclinical research to clinical trials. In 2010, the company was acquired by Intertek, a leading total quality assurance provider, to expand its global life sciences division and enhance its bioanalytical capabilities for biologics.
