MimeTech has developed a proprietary platform of synthetic neurotrophin mimetics. Its lead compound, Udonitrectag, has demonstrated potent NGF and BDNF-like activity in preclinical models across several disease areas. The company’s most advanced program targets neurotrophic keratitis—a rare degenerative corneal disease—and has received Orphan Drug Designation from both the European Commission and FDA. In 2017, Recordati licensed global rights to develop and commercialize this treatment for ophthalmic use. Additional programs target cardiovascular events, dermatologic conditions, solid organ transplantation injury prevention, rare neurological disorders such as ALS/Charcot disease/Lou Gehrig's disease[1][3][5].
