Mimulus

Mimulus was a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company focused on developing small molecule inhibitors for the treatment of inflammatory skin diseases. The company's primary assets were ATI-501 and ATI-502, which are Janus kinase (JAK) inhibitors designed to treat alopecia areata and other forms of hair loss. These compounds were licensed from Rigel Pharmaceuticals and were developed for both oral and topical administration. In 2017, Mimulus was acquired by Aclaris Therapeutics in a deal valued at $20 million upfront plus additional milestone payments. The acquisition integrated Mimulus's JAK inhibitor pipeline into Aclaris's dermatology-focused portfolio.
