Minnesota Palliative Care Partnership

The Minnesota Palliative Care Partnership (MNPCP) was a statewide healthcare coalition dedicated to improving the delivery and accessibility of palliative care for patients facing serious illnesses. Founded in 2001, the partnership was a collaborative effort between four of Minnesota's largest health systems: Allina Health, Fairview Health Services, HealthPartners, and Mayo Clinic. It operated under the auspices of the Alley Institute, a division of Medical Alley (formerly LifeScience Alley). The organization focused on clinical education, public awareness, and policy advocacy to integrate palliative care into standard medical practice across various healthcare settings. Although the partnership is no longer active as a standalone entity, its initiatives significantly influenced the development of palliative care standards and legislation in Minnesota.
