Mirabilis Medical

Mirabilis Medical was a private women's health medical device company developing a non-invasive, ultrasound-guided therapeutic system for treatment of symptomatic uterine fibroids. Its Mirabilis System combined high-resolution ultrasound imaging, therapeutic high-intensity focused ultrasound, and robotics to localize and ablate fibroid tissue without incisions. The company originated from work at the University of Washington and was founded in 2004 in the Seattle area. In 2017, Mirabilis reported CE Mark authorization in Europe and plans for a U.S. pivotal study, indicating an early commercial-stage medtech business rather than a drug developer. Subsequent company databases classify the business as closed or out of business, with no evidence of an acquisition.
