Mission Health System

Mission Health System is a prominent regional health system headquartered in Asheville, North Carolina, serving as the primary healthcare provider for the western part of the state. The system operates six hospitals, including its flagship Mission Hospital, which is a major tertiary and quaternary care center and the region's only Level II trauma center. Mission Health provides a wide array of specialized services such as cardiology, oncology, neurology, and pediatrics through its member hospitals and numerous outpatient clinics. In February 2019, the system was acquired by HCA Healthcare for approximately $1.5 billion, transitioning from a non-profit organization to a for-profit entity under HCA's North Carolina Division.
