Mission LISA Foundation

Mission LISA Foundation is a non-profit patient advocacy organization dedicated to finding a cure for Limb-Girdle Muscular Dystrophy Type 2A (LGMD2A), also known as Calpainopathy. The foundation focuses on funding and accelerating the development of transformative treatments, with a particular emphasis on gene therapy approaches designed to restore the function of the CAPN3 gene. By collaborating with world-renowned scientists and academic institutions, Mission LISA aims to bridge the gap between laboratory research and clinical trials for this rare neuromuscular disorder. The organization also works to raise global awareness and provide support for families affected by LGMD2A.
