MitoR Therapeutics

MitoR Therapeutics is a South Korean biotechnology company specializing in the development of first-in-class small molecule inhibitors targeting the mitochondrial ribosome (MitoR). Spun off from Seoul National University, the company's research focuses on exploiting the unique dependence of certain cancer cells on mitochondrial protein synthesis. Its lead candidates, MTR-101 and MTR-102, are being developed for the treatment of acute myeloid leukemia (AML) and various solid tumors, respectively. By selectively disrupting mitochondrial function in malignant cells, MitoR Therapeutics aims to overcome resistance to conventional therapies and provide new treatment options for patients with high unmet medical needs.
