Medicines for Malaria Venture (MMV) is a leading non-profit product development partnership (PDP) dedicated to reducing the burden of malaria through the discovery, development, and delivery of new antimalarial drugs. Established in 1999, MMV operates as a virtual pharmaceutical company, managing the world's largest portfolio of antimalarial research projects in collaboration with over 400 partners across the pharmaceutical industry, academia, and endemic countries. The organization has successfully co-developed and brought to market over 15 new antimalarial medicines, including Pyramax, Eurartesim, and Krintafel (tafenoquine). MMV's mission is to save lives and ultimately support the global goal of malaria eradication by providing effective, affordable, and accessible treatments for vulnerable populations, particularly children and pregnant women.
