Company intelligence / Profile preview
Mobile Diagnostic Centers (MDC) is a leading provider of mobile PET/CT imaging services, specializing in delivering advanced diagnostic solutions to hospitals and oncology centers across the United States. Founded in 1998 and headquartered in Jacksonville, Florida, the company was acquired by Alliance HealthCare Services in 2006 to expand its mobile imaging footprint. MDC operates a fleet of state-of-the-art mobile units equipped with high-resolution PET/CT scanners, such as the GE Discovery ST, which facilitate the early detection and staging of various cancers, as well as the evaluation of cardiovascular and neurological disorders. Today, as part of the Akumin network (following Akumin's acquisition of Alliance in 2021), MDC continues to support healthcare providers by offering flexible, on-site imaging services that improve patient access and clinical outcomes without requiring significant capital investment from the host facilities.
