Company intelligence / Profile preview
Mobius Biosystems was a biotechnology company specializing in high-throughput single-cell analysis and screening technologies. Based in Cambridge, Massachusetts, the company developed microfluidic platforms, such as C-Drop, designed to analyze thousands of individual cells simultaneously for drug discovery and immune profiling. The technology originated from the laboratory of J. Christopher Love at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). In November 2017, Mobius Biosystems was acquired by HiFiBiO Therapeutics to integrate its single-cell droplet technology into HiFiBiO's antibody discovery pipeline. This acquisition allowed HiFiBiO to enhance its capabilities in identifying therapeutic antibodies and biomarkers with high precision. The company's platform was particularly noted for its ability to link phenotypic data with genotypic information at the single-cell level.
