Mojave Therapeutics

Mojave Therapeutics was a biotechnology company focused on developing therapeutic vaccines and immunotherapies for cancer and infectious diseases. The company's core technology centered on the use of heat shock proteins (HSPs), particularly HSP70, to deliver antigens to the immune system and stimulate a robust T-cell response. Founded in 1996 and headquartered in New York, Mojave advanced several candidates into early-stage clinical trials, including a lead vaccine candidate for malignant melanoma. In 2001, the company was acquired by MannKind Corporation (then known as Pharmaceutical Discovery Corporation) to bolster its immunotherapy portfolio. Following the acquisition, Mojave's HSP platform was integrated into MannKind's broader oncology research efforts.
