Company intelligence / Profile preview
Mole Genetics AS was a Norwegian biotechnology company that specialized in automated nucleic acid extraction technology. Based in Lysaker, the company developed the GeneMole® system, a compact benchtop instrument designed to automate the isolation of DNA and RNA from various biological samples using its proprietary MoleStrips™ technology. The system was designed to simplify laboratory workflows by providing pre-filled, ready-to-use reagent strips, reducing hands-on time and improving consistency in genetic research and diagnostics. In 2008, Mole Genetics was acquired by Qiagen, which integrated the GeneMole technology into its global portfolio of sample preparation solutions.
