Company intelligence / Profile preview
MolGen was a Netherlands-based life science tools and molecular diagnostics workflow company focused on DNA/RNA extraction, sample preparation, assay development, and laboratory automation. The company sold instruments, reagents, consumables, and integrated workflows used across human diagnostics, animal diagnostics, agriculture, and biotechnology. Its portfolio included PurePrep nucleic-acid extraction systems and kits, GenePrep workflow systems, DNA Factory high-throughput extraction solutions, and LabTIE sample-preparation products. MolGen operated commercially rather than as a therapeutic drug developer, so it did not have a traditional clinical pipeline. In January 2026, MolGen announced that its activities would continue under the new name AgriGenX, and third-party reporting indicated the transition followed bankruptcy proceedings in December 2025.
