Company intelligence / Profile preview
MotherNature.com was an early internet retailer focused on vitamins, herbs, supplements, natural personal care products, and related health and wellness merchandise. The company combined e-commerce with consumer health content, including natural health information, practitioner networks, and product recommendations, positioning itself as a destination for natural and alternative health consumers. It operated primarily as a direct-to-consumer retail and information business rather than a biotechnology or drug-development company. MotherNature.com went public on Nasdaq under the ticker MTHR in December 1999, but announced plans to liquidate and dissolve in November 2000 and had shut down operations by early 2001. The current mothernature.com website appears to be a separate or revived wellness web property and does not provide evidence that the original public company remains an active operating entity.
