Movement is Life Caucus

Movement is Life is a multi-disciplinary non-profit coalition dedicated to eliminating racial, ethnic, and gender disparities in musculoskeletal health and joint care. Originally founded in 2010 by Zimmer Biomet, the organization transitioned to an independent 501(c)(3) entity in 2022 to broaden its impact on health equity. The coalition focuses on promoting physical mobility and early intervention to break the cycle of joint pain, obesity, and chronic disease, particularly among women of color and individuals in rural communities. Its core initiatives include the annual National Caucus summit, the "Operation Change" community-based behavior change program, and "The Health Disparities Podcast." By engaging healthcare providers, community leaders, and policymakers, Movement is Life works to address the social determinants of health and advocate for equitable access to care.
