Mt Adams

Mt. Adams Therapeutics is a biotechnology company that was established to develop novel treatments for eosinophil-mediated inflammatory diseases. The company's primary focus is a first-in-class monoclonal antibody program targeting the adhesion G protein-coupled receptor G5 (ADGRG5), also known as GPR114. This receptor is highly and selectively expressed on eosinophils, making it a promising target for treating conditions like eosinophilic esophagitis (EoE) by inhibiting or depleting these cells. Originally incubated and backed by Morningside Ventures, the company operated in a relatively stealth manner until its acquisition. In January 2024, Sosei Heptares (now Nxera Pharma) acquired Mt. Adams Therapeutics to integrate this specialized GPCR asset into its immunology and inflammation pipeline.
