MT Mechatronics

MT Mechatronics was a German mechatronics engineering company based in Mainz that designed and integrated large-scale technical systems, including communication antennas, radio and optical telescopes, launch-facility equipment, industrial mechatronics, and selected medical apparatuses for particle-beam cancer therapy. The company was part of MT Aerospace and later controlled within the OHB group. While it had some exposure to healthcare through equipment for next-generation cancer therapy facilities, it was not a drug developer, biotech, pharma, or healthcare-services company in the usual industry sense. MT Mechatronics appears to have operated primarily as a systems engineering and project-delivery business rather than a life sciences company with a therapeutic pipeline. In 2020, MT Mechatronics GmbH was merged into OHB Digital Connect GmbH, and the former Mainz site continued under that organization.
