Mucommune

Mucommune develops innovative therapies in women's reproductive health. Its lead program uses anti-sperm monoclonal antibodies delivered via intravaginal ring or dissolving tablets to provide non-hormonal contraception. Early clinical data with a first-generation antibody showed high potency; a second-generation molecule aims to improve efficacy and reduce dose/costs. Another pipeline product targets bacterial vaginosis with a non-antibiotic approach. The company has received over $12M in non-dilutive funding and plans IND filings for both products in 2024. Inhalon Biopharma was spun out of Mucommune in 2019 as a separate entity focused on respiratory diseases.
