Muhlenberg Regional Medical Center

Muhlenberg Regional Medical Center was a non-profit community teaching hospital located in Plainfield, New Jersey, with a history spanning over 130 years. As a member of the Solaris Health System, it provided essential services including emergency care, surgery, and specialized maternal-child health programs to the surrounding region. The hospital ceased its acute care operations in 2008 following significant financial losses, a move that led to the establishment of one of the state's first satellite emergency departments. Today, the site continues to host the Muhlenberg Snyder Schools of Nursing and Medical Imaging, maintaining its legacy in medical education. The entity's assets and remaining services are currently managed by Hackensack Meridian Health following a series of regional healthcare mergers.
