Overview
Mural Oncology was a clinical-stage biotech focused on engineered cytokine immunotherapies. Its lead program nemvaleukin alfa failed both its pivotal phase 3 trial in platinum-resistant ovarian cancer and phase 2 trial in mucosal/melanoma as of April 2025. The company has since terminated all clinical development and laid off ~90% of staff while seeking strategic alternatives. Two preclinical assets—engineered forms of interleukins IL–18 and split-targeted IL–12—remain but have not entered human trials.[7][10][8]
