Company intelligence / Profile preview
MuriGen Therapeutics was an Australian biotechnology company focused on the discovery and development of novel therapeutics for cancer and inflammatory diseases. Spun out from the Walter and Eliza Hall Institute of Medical Research (WEHI), the company utilized a proprietary forward genetics platform to identify genes and pathways involved in disease progression. Its core technology, the Angene platform, was specifically designed to identify novel targets for angiogenesis-related conditions, such as solid tumors and chronic inflammation. In 2005, MuriGen was acquired by Bionomics Limited, which integrated MuriGen's oncology and inflammation programs and its genetic discovery capabilities into its own pipeline.
