Mycosol

MycoSol was a preclinical-stage biotechnology company focused on the development of advanced drug delivery systems for poorly soluble therapeutic agents. Spun out of Oregon State University, the company utilized a proprietary polymer-based nanoparticle platform to enhance the solubility and bioavailability of hydrophobic drugs. Their primary focus was on antifungal treatments, specifically reformulating potent but toxic anti-infectives like Amphotericin B to improve their safety profiles and therapeutic indices.
