Mycovia Pharmaceuticals developed oteseconazole (VIVJOA), the first FDA-approved oral therapy specifically indicated to reduce the incidence of recurrent vulvovaginal candidiasis in women who are not of reproductive potential. The approval was based on positive results from two pivotal Phase III trials showing significant long-term reduction in recurrence rates through at least one year. Oteseconazole has also received regulatory approvals or advanced clinical status internationally, including inclusion on China's National Reimbursement Drug List for severe cases. Additional studies are ongoing or planned for fungal infections such as cryptococcal meningitis, coccidioidomycosis, and others.
