N.K. Curex

NK CureX is a South Korean biotechnology company specializing in the development of next-generation Natural Killer (NK) cell therapies for the treatment of refractory solid tumors. Founded in 2020 by Professor Sang-Kyu Ye of Seoul National University, the company utilizes a proprietary non-viral gene delivery platform to engineer CAR-NK cells with enhanced tumor-targeting capabilities and persistence. This approach aims to overcome the limitations of viral vectors, such as high costs and potential genomic instability, while improving the therapeutic efficacy against solid malignancies. The company's lead programs, NKCX-101 and NKCX-102, target mesothelin and glypican-3, respectively, for indications including pancreatic, ovarian, and liver cancers.
