Company intelligence / Profile preview
Naia Metabolic was a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company focused on the development of therapeutics for metabolic disorders, specifically type 2 diabetes and non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH). As a subsidiary of Naia Pharmaceuticals, the company operated under a hub-and-spoke model designed to efficiently advance licensed assets through clinical proof-of-concept. Its primary asset, NAI-107, was a long-acting glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) receptor agonist intended to offer improved dosing convenience and efficacy. In March 2018, Naia Metabolic was acquired by the French biotech company Poxel SA, which integrated NAI-107 into its pipeline as PXL090.
