Overview
Nanosphere refers to two distinct entities. Nanosphere, Inc. developed the Verigene System—a rapid molecular diagnostics platform for infectious diseases and pharmacogenetics. It was acquired by Luminex in mid-2016 and is no longer an independent company. NanoSphere Health Sciences develops nanoparticle-based delivery systems that enhance bioavailability of cannabinoids and other drugs/nutrients via transdermal or mucosal routes. They are commercial with cannabis products in North America and have ongoing expansion into pharmaceuticals like NSAIDs.
