Nanotechnology Victoria (NanoVic) was an Australian commercialization vehicle established to bridge the gap between nanotechnology research and industrial application. Formed as a joint venture between Monash University, Swinburne University of Technology, RMIT University, and the Victorian State Government, the company focused on developing and licensing nano-enabled technologies. Its portfolio spanned several sectors, with significant emphasis on life sciences, including drug delivery systems, diagnostic tools, and antimicrobial coatings. NanoVic played a pivotal role in the Victorian nanotechnology ecosystem by providing funding, intellectual property management, and business development expertise to early-stage ventures before its operations were wound down and integrated into its partner institutions.
