Company intelligence / Profile preview
NanoTherm Therapeutics has developed the CE-marked NanoTherm Therapy System for precise treatment of solid tumors. The system uses bioengineered iron oxide nanoparticles injected into tumor tissue; these are then heated by an external alternating magnetic field to ablate cancer cells or sensitize them to conventional therapies. Over 900 patients have been treated with NTTS in Europe for recurrent glioblastoma. Clinical trials are ongoing or planned for primary glioblastoma and other solid tumor indications such as lung and liver cancers. Preclinical collaborations include work on pancreatic cancer with Mayo Clinic[1][5].
