Company intelligence / Profile preview
National Access Cannabis (NAC) was a Canadian cannabis retailer and medical cannabis service provider that played a significant role in the country's legal cannabis transition. Originally established to operate medical cannabis clinics, the company provided patients with physician consultations, education, and assistance in navigating the legal medical marijuana framework. With the advent of recreational legalization in Canada, NAC expanded its retail footprint through the acquisition of NewLeaf Cannabis and the launch of Meta Cannabis Co. stores. In 2019, the company rebranded as Meta Growth to emphasize its focus on the retail market and its ambition for nationwide growth. The company's operations were eventually consolidated when it was acquired by High Tide Inc. in late 2020. This acquisition created one of the largest cannabis retail networks in North America, integrating Meta Growth's extensive store portfolio into High Tide's existing Canna Cabana brand.
