National Blood Center Foundation

The AABB Foundation, formerly known as the National Blood Foundation (NBF), is a non-profit organization that serves as the philanthropic and research-funding arm of AABB. Established in 1983, the foundation is dedicated to advancing the fields of transfusion medicine and cellular biotherapies by providing critical seed grants to early-career investigators. Its funding supports innovative research aimed at improving blood safety, optimizing patient blood management, and developing novel cellular treatments for hematologic disorders.
