National Forensic Science Technology Center

The National Forensic Science Technology Center (NFSTC) provides specialized training, technology evaluation, and laboratory support services to the forensic science, justice, and defense communities. Established in 1995, the organization focuses on improving the quality and efficiency of forensic practices through rigorous testing and educational programs. Their expertise spans various life science-related disciplines, including forensic DNA analysis, toxicology, and field-deployable laboratory solutions. In 2018, NFSTC was acquired by Florida International University, becoming NFSTC@FIU to leverage academic resources for broader impact. The center serves as a vital resource for law enforcement agencies, military personnel, and public health laboratories worldwide by ensuring the reliability of forensic evidence.
