Natrix Separations

Natrix Separations was a Canadian bioprocessing technology company focused on disposable membrane chromatography products for downstream purification in biopharmaceutical manufacturing. Its core platform, Natrix HD Membrane, was designed to combine resin-like binding capacity with the speed, flexibility, and single-use advantages of membrane-based chromatography. The company marketed ion-exchange membrane products and was developing a membrane-based Protein A platform aimed at monoclonal antibody and vaccine manufacturing. Natrix originated from technology developed at McMaster University and positioned its products for flexible, high-productivity biologics processing. In 2017, the company was acquired by Merck KGaA through its life science business, MilliporeSigma.
