Navigation Sciences has developed the NaviSci System—a real-time augmented reality and software-driven platform that enables precise margin measurement during minimally invasive surgery for early-stage lung cancer. In a recent prospective clinical feasibility study with early-stage lung cancer patients, all nodules were fully resected with negative margins and no significant complications. The results demonstrated safety, efficacy, strong correlation of intraoperative measurements with pathology lab findings, and seamless integration into existing surgical workflows. Data have been submitted to major medical conferences and published in peer-reviewed literature. The company aims to submit its system for FDA clearance via the 510(k) pathway soon.
