NCE Discovery

NCE Discovery was a UK-based contract research organization (CRO) specializing in medicinal chemistry and drug discovery services for the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries. Founded as a joint venture between the University of Dundee and the Medical Research Council (MRC) Technology, the company provided expertise in lead optimization, chemical synthesis, and hit-to-lead programs. In 2014, the company was acquired by Albany Molecular Research Inc. (AMRI), which later rebranded as Curia. Following the acquisition, its operations were integrated into AMRI's global drug discovery and development platform, focusing on accelerating the transition of new chemical entities from discovery to clinical candidates.
