NeatStitch

NeatStitch was an Israeli medical device company focused on laparoscopic port-closure solutions for minimally invasive surgery. Its lead and apparently primary product was NeatClose, an automated suturing device intended for approximation and ligation of soft tissues and closure of 10 mm or larger laparoscopic port sites. The device received FDA 510(k) clearance in 2006 and was also reported to have obtained CE mark approval. NeatStitch positioned the product as a faster, simpler alternative to manual fascial closure that could reduce procedure time and lower the risk of port-site complications such as herniation.
