Nectero Therapeutics is a clinical-stage biotechnology company dedicated to developing innovative therapies for aneurysmal diseases. The company's lead candidate, the Nectero Endovascular Aneurysm Stabilization (NEAS) system, is a first-in-class drug-device combination designed to treat small-to-medium sized abdominal aortic aneurysms (AAA). By delivering a proprietary form of pentagalloyl glucose (PGG) directly to the aortic wall, the system aims to stabilize the aneurysm by reinforcing degraded elastin and collagen fibers. This approach seeks to prevent aneurysm growth and rupture, potentially eliminating the need for invasive surgery in patients who are currently managed through watchful waiting. Nectero is currently evaluating the NEAS system in a pivotal Phase 2/3 clinical trial.
