NeoRx Manufacturing Group

NeoRx Manufacturing Group Inc. was the manufacturing subsidiary of Poniard Pharmaceuticals (formerly NeoRx Corporation), specializing in the production of radiopharmaceuticals and oncology therapeutics. Based in Denton, Texas, the group operated an 80,000-square-foot, commercial-scale facility validated for the manufacture of injectable pharmaceuticals and protein-based biologics. In 2007, the facility and its associated assets were sold to Molecular Insight Pharmaceuticals for $3 million, facilitating Poniard's strategic transition to a development-focused biotechnology company. The group played a critical role in the production of NeoRx's early pipeline of radiolabeled monoclonal antibodies for cancer imaging and therapy.
