Company intelligence / Profile preview
NeoSan Pharmaceuticals was a specialty pharmaceutical company based in Cary, North Carolina, that functioned as the United States subsidiary of the Austrian firm Sanochemia Pharmazeutika AG. The company's primary mission was the clinical development and commercialization of Sanochemia's proprietary drug candidates within the North American market. Its lead program was a transdermal delivery system for granisetron, designed to provide multi-day protection against chemotherapy-induced nausea and vomiting. In April 2007, Cumberland Pharmaceuticals acquired NeoSan, gaining the rights to this transdermal technology and other pipeline assets. The granisetron patch was later FDA-approved and marketed by Cumberland under the brand name Sancuso.
