Company intelligence / Profile preview
Neose Pharmaceuticals was a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company that specialized in the development of next-generation therapeutic proteins. The company utilized its proprietary GlycoAdvance and GlycoPEGylation enzymatic technologies to improve the pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic profiles of biologics by precisely modifying their carbohydrate structures. Its pipeline included long-acting versions of established proteins such as erythropoietin (EPO), granulocyte colony-stimulating factor (G-CSF), and blood-clotting factors VIIa and IX. Following a period of strategic restructuring, Neose sold its primary intellectual property and assets to Novo Nordisk and BioGeneriX in 2008 and subsequently underwent a complete liquidation.
