Nervosave Therapeutics is a preclinical-stage biotechnology company dedicated to developing disease-modifying therapies for Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease (CMT), specifically the CMT1A subtype. Spun out of The Jackson Laboratory, the company focuses on small molecule therapeutics designed to normalize the overexpression of Peripheral Myelin Protein 22 (PMP22), which is the primary genetic driver of the disease. By reducing PMP22 levels, Nervosave aims to prevent the progressive peripheral nerve degeneration and muscle atrophy characteristic of CMT1A.
