NeuraStasis

NeuraStasis has developed a proprietary non-invasive wearable neurostimulation device designed to activate the body's innate oxygen-preserving and anti-inflammatory reflexes during acute ischemic stroke. The company has begun enrolling patients in its first clinical feasibility study at UTHealth in Houston. The goal of the technology is to delay brain damage after a stroke by stimulating sensory nerves—primarily trigeminal and vagus—to preserve brain tissue until definitive treatment can be administered. Early recognition includes selection for NIH Blueprint MedTech funding and participation in leading medtech accelerators.
