Neurelec

Neurelec is a French medical technology company specializing in the development and manufacturing of cochlear implants for individuals with severe to profound hearing loss. Founded in 2006 as a spin-off from MXM, the company is recognized for its Digisonic platform, which includes the first binaural cochlear implant system capable of stimulating both ears with a single internal unit. In 2013, Neurelec was acquired by William Demant Holding for approximately €57.5 million and integrated into its Oticon Medical division. This acquisition allowed the group to expand its portfolio into the cochlear implant market, combining Neurelec's surgical implant expertise with Oticon's advanced sound processing technologies. Today, the company's legacy continues through the Oticon Medical brand, providing hearing solutions to patients worldwide.
