Neuro-Bio is a UK-based biotechnology company focused on developing a novel therapeutic approach for Alzheimer's disease and other neurodegenerative conditions. Founded by Baroness Susan Greenfield, the company targets a specific 14-amino acid peptide called T14, which is derived from the C-terminus of acetylcholinesterase and is believed to drive neurodegeneration. Their lead program, NBT-20, is a small molecule designed to block the toxic effects of T14 by binding to the alpha-7 nicotinic acetylcholine receptor.
