Company intelligence / Profile preview
Neuro Pharmalogics was a biopharmaceutical company focused on developing and commercializing novel therapies for rare (orphan) neurological diseases. Founded in 2015 as a spin-off from Florida Atlantic University, the company targeted the PKG signaling pathway and Protein Phosphatase 2A (PP2A) to address conditions caused by signaling dysfunction. Its lead program, NP-101, was a small molecule inhibitor being developed for the treatment of hemiplegic migraine. The company also maintained a pipeline of programs for neural trauma, including traumatic brain injury and spinal cord injury, as well as other ischemic and epileptic conditions. Neuro Pharmalogics licensed key intellectual property from both FAU and the University of Toronto to support its research. However, the company is no longer active, with its corporate status revoked in 2018.
