Neurolab Therapeutics is a biotechnology company focused on the discovery and development of small-molecule therapeutics targeting the endocannabinoid system. Founded as a spin-off from the University of California, Irvine, based on the research of Dr. Daniele Piomelli, the company modulates lipid signaling pathways to address chronic pain, inflammation, and central nervous system disorders. Its primary technological focus is the inhibition of enzymes like N-acylethanolamine-hydrolyzing acid amidase (NAAA) and fatty acid amide hydrolase (FAAH), which regulate the levels of natural analgesic and anti-inflammatory molecules in the body.
