Neurologic and Orthopedic Institute of Chicago

The Neurologic and Orthopedic Institute of Chicago (NOIC) was a specialized surgical hospital dedicated to the treatment of complex neurological and musculoskeletal conditions. Established in 2003, the facility was designed to provide a high-tech, boutique environment for advanced procedures such as neurosurgery, spinal reconstruction, and joint replacement. It was notably the first hospital in the Midwest to focus exclusively on these two medical disciplines and was home to the Chicago Institute of Neurosurgery and Neuroresearch (CINN). The institute featured advanced medical technologies, including Gamma Knife radiosurgery and intraoperative MRI suites. Following financial challenges, the hospital's assets were acquired by NorthShore University HealthSystem in 2009, leading to its integration into NorthShore's clinical network.
